Floods in Moravice
Slezská Harta Dam currently supplies an important element of flood protection in the lower Moravice River. The records chronicled in the village of Razová suggest the importance of that protection, which indicate that the flooding in the village history significantly interfered with the life of local residents.

On 6th May 1927”came to town Razová cloudburst with such devastating effect that happened from human memory. From the flood was the muddy field, bridges were washed away. Most were in danger house of Marie Beierová No. 152, Karl Muck No. 268, Rudolph Jüttner No. 267 and No. 266th Gustav Jreipl. In the year 1987 construction of Slezská Harta Dam began. Even before the official completion of the dam, it proved its merits in flood protection in July, 1996 and again in 1997. Already in 1998, the dam to a maximum of 62 meters and was tested.
